Global HearthWorks is supporting VITALITE Zambia. Founded in 2013, VITALITE has been working to increase rural electrification and provide improved cookstoves to low-income households across Zambia. Global HearthWorks has provided a loan to VITALITE to pilot the sale of improved charcoal stoves (made by EcoZoom) to customers in urban, peri-urban and rural communities.
VITALITE is the first company to offer a fully integrated pay-as-you-go (PAYGO) solar home system in Zambia. The company aims to become Zambia’s leading asset financing company using mobile technology to provide consumer-financing solutions for solar energy and other productive products and services to low-income, underserved households.
